Day 1: Leh - Skiu 3300 m via Chilling (2 hrs drive and 3 hrs walk)
Day 2: Skiu - Markha 3800 m (6-7 hrs)
Day 3: Markha - Thachungtse 4100 m (5-6 hrs)
Day 4: Thachungtse – Base Camp 5000 m (3-4 hrs)
Day 5: acclimatization day
Day 6: Base Camp- High Camp 5500 m (4-5 hrs)
Day 7: High Camp- Summit 6400 m- Base Camp (8-12 hrs)
Day 8: weather condition
Day 9: Base Camp - Chogdo (5-6 hrs)
Day 10: Chogdo- Leh via Shang Sumdo- Leh (3-4 hrs)

This beautiful route takes you through ancient Buddhist culture, monasteries and ever changing landscape of Markha Valley. Being inaccessible for many months in the winter by snow the area is also home to some of the rare Himalayan wildlife.
The snowy peak of Kangyatse, looming above the Markha Valley, is one of the most beautiful mountains in the region and provides a unique opportunity to climb a 6400 m peak for those with some climbing experience and 6200 m for beginners. It is an ideal mountain for someone who is looking for his/ her first Himalayan Summit.
